Happy Birthday Naomi!

Little Baby Naomi and a 2 year old Chiara!

Naomi aged 2

I can hardly believe my little itsy bitsy Naomi is no longer so itsy bitsy.  She is a whole 8 years old.  I remember when I was pregnant with her suffering with morning sickness, something I only suffered during my second pregnancy.  Everyone thought she was going to be a boy but she wasn't.  She is one of the girliest girls I know and when I was told after giving birth that she was a girl, I couldn't stop grinning and said: more pretty pink dresses

I was thrilled.
Then, when I was passed my beautiful new baby, 7lbs 1oz, all I wanted to do was cuddle her but she was one red hot angry bundle of anger.  She was not so pleased to be out in the big world.  I gently fought with her to put her to my breast and the midwife protested at first saying how she might be too tired, less than a minute later she was latched on and I found I possibly had the cuddliest baby in the world.  For over a year later Naomi and I was inseparable.  She loved her Mummy and she loved her milk.  Even when I weaned her she was much more of a Mummy's girl.

I remember one time, she was about 4 or 5 and she went to the park in the snow with her daddy (I stayed at home) when she had a little accident and fell over and all she wanted was Mummy.  Daddy had to ring me up and bring her home for cuddles bless her.  Naomi is a cheeky, happy and content girl and I don't know anyone who doesn't like to be around her.  For her birthday we asked her to choose what she wanted to do.  She ended up going swimming with Chiara, subjected us to a Mc Donalds (gulp) and then when we got home her birthday cake: a Cadbury's Chocolate cake with french macaroons, that were going to go round the side but were eaten too quickly, from Valeries Patisseries in town - I love that place.

Naomi was exhausted by the end of the night.  She said she was a little disappointed I hadn't bought her a real horse but could see we didn't have room!  I love that girl, she's a giggle!
